Nice Hotel and Shops / malls in Victoria, British Columbia? Will try to be brief. I am not new to the area, but I've never spent the night in Victoria, British Columbia that I live in the Vancouver area.
1. Are there any decent hotels that I go out of my way to keep from your personal experience? (I know how to use the hotel search sites, I just want a personal experience of people and places they enjoyed)
2. The hotel should be in the area of Beacon Hill Park as I have some recreation groups Im hoping to join while I'm there with children (3 years 18 months).
3. Are there shopping malls, specialty shops and restaurants of exception in the area that would bother to check?
4. All non-tourism / current events for small children (ages 3 and 18 months by age group), while Im there next Monday and Tuesday would be interesting to know about?
We leave early (Sunday) to spend Mother's Day on the island and will be staying Monday and Tuesday (because my husband works). So if anyone know of a place of exception or special things to do in the area while I'm here with my children, I would appreciate any information you can provide. I stayed at the Hotel Royal Scot in a suite with a kitchen. It was wonderful. I could make breakfast and lunch in the room who has saved the cost of restaurant.
There are tons of restaurants downtown. But to change a little, go to the Trans-Malahat and you will see a very nice restaurant just after the Petro. Great view on a clear day and the food very good. As you drive up and out of the city, heading towards the TransCan, you will see a large shopping mall on your right in the city.
Bring the kids Saxe Point Park in Esquimalt to enjoy the views and flowers.
