Boulder Property Management Pets allowed when looking at the apartment .. now they are not? My daughter found one advertised "pets OK" apartment in Boulder, CO, did not have a pet at the time, but made sure they were allowed to have because there were farm intend to get one. The property management has said yes, no problem, with a deposit of $ 200. They signed the lease .. not have a pet, they just had 2 kittens and now the PM said, they should get rid of them. It is a lease for pets, unless an addendum is attached, and it is not additive, because they did not have pets to begin with. Unfortunately, the girl who showed them the original apt does not work there anymore. It is a very old house with 3 apts in it, and a tenant has a cat ..... How can I make this, they would not have rented this place in the first place is it was no pets .. Since they have no lease pet there is nothing they can do - legally. In general, if they have signed a lease that says no pets, period. If the owner does not want the endorsement ad he / she does not. The verbal exchange between the dealer and our daughter would be impossible to justify and is replaced by the lease she signed. It must comply or move. Could you ask the daughter of PM for this endorsement? Then the lease was amended for new pet? I would just sit and have a rational discussion on pets with the PM. Your daughter must have signed the amendment and has paid the deposit before receiving pets, and not after. I think you answered your question. If the lease provides that "no pets" and they have signed, they are the terms they agreed. Posted on June 24, 2010.
