Cake Packaging Supplies

My husband just left for a deployment of six months in the Gulf. I work a full time job and I have a 4 year old son. Looking for some ideas of things I can do evenings and weekends with my son. One thing I already supplies a string of paper. Another idea that I want to do is jar cakes. I craft ideas that you can send a care package on board the ship. Thank you ahead!

I had my BA almost entirely while my husband was deployed. It is well armed, while he was deployed for a year or more at a time. And I have no children at the time. I think it is good to do something like this for yourself if, when he left.

I also picked up lots of clever things while he was gone the last time. You do not have to spend much money, and you can do very good things for the house when he comes home. Plus I'm sure your son loves it. Even just doing things in the yard can be great fun. I have TONS of yard work while he was deployed last time - I had plenty of exercise, and the court was magnificent when he came home.

Try to stay as active as you can with other families in the unit. It may be someone with a child the same age that you can spend much time with, or perhaps you can set up a play group or something. It is always helpful to be around other families in this situation!

Do nothing as time goes on, even taking a vacation and visit family. I've never been in the situation of having a loved one deployed. I've always been one deployed. My woman just took a new hobby, she started drawing. He passed the time for it and by the time I got back, it was impressive to her.

I know how you feel, mine their too, you subscribe to son can be a bit of sport you can go see, go to the gym, maybe start a craft workshop for children in your home if you live on base so maybe his friends could come and all you could do things I do not have kids so I'm going to the gym, shop and decorate my house, your son should keep you busy

Unfortunately Eyota said what many women do its sad that women do while the man is to serve his country.
I would say the gym or aerobics would be something positive to do. Movies with the kid, karate or hobby that is positive

Hello proud Navy wife, God bless you and your family the best way I think it is for you and your baby to focus on some DIY around your house, you can do great things for returning to your honey house, and I'm sure your son would like to help by changing things around painting, kids love to paint, lol, and I found it amusing, he read the story of the night and the thing like that, it really does help pass the time faster if you have a routine and one day it will be difficult to push you, but you must be the highlight of the family, coz it's your job hold the fort as well as for your son and your husband and you enjoy it with the love you receive in return for two more special man in your life, so GOOD LUCK and hang coz you have so many people rooting for you, take care and have a nice day.
