Disney Vacation Club Members How to get parents to keep Disney Vacation Club Members? I'm going to Walt Disney World since I'm young and I have been there many times and love it. My parents decided to put our Disney timeshare market and if it sells, we will not DVC members over and we probably will not go to Disney and many more. My mother wants the family to remain members of DVC, but my father will not listen to her or me. Remind them all the advantages they can benefit from! Sorry honey but you are the child and they are adults - they decide. There may be factors that you do not know - maybe your father is worried about his job or finances or creating a college fund for you. I really can not help you to try to convince your father otherwise. His reasons may be to do with the economy or the uncertainty of job security. Or like a lot of smart people, he may feel it is time to reduce and streamline. Whatever his reasons he should respect his decision and not try to question him. Do appreciate, however, the fact that you had this wonderful opportunity to enjoy WDW as DVC members. By the way, you realize that the majority of the population does not or never this privilege, right? Sorry, I do not give you the answer you expect. But as a reasonable parent who makes the decisions on weight more often I am concerned about, I have to save your father about it. Remind them they can take vacations in the world using their DVC points. Disney Cruise Line goes to Europe and Alaska, and there is a DVC resort opening next year in Oahu! Posted on July 7, 2010.
