Mel Fisher Maritime Museum In 1985, the shipwreck hunter Mel Fisher and his team of underwater recovery discovered the wreck of the Santa Margarita and Nuestra Senora de Atocha, which is part of the treasure fleet support 28-galleon that sank 50 miles from the Florida Keys during a hurricane.
