Most affordable rental house on the beach during the off-season? I'd like to rent a cottage or a house by the sea on both coasts for a month or two for some time from October to January. What is the best place to find affordable rentals? Do not be fancy, just near the ocean.
Try looking for rentals in Lincoln City or Seaside / Cannon Beach, Oregon.
Oregon beaches are public domain property, but many houses are on the track.

Try looking in greatrentals.com. They are mostly for rent by individuals and appear to be less expensive. the other two sites mentioned are good too.
