Lauderdale By The Sea

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea (LBTS) is a place for people who can not escape the "city", but still wanted to enjoy a nice beach. LBTS is a charming seaside village upscale metropolitan sandwiched between Ft Lauderdale to the south, and Pompano Beach in the north. The two main roads of this city are running North and South A1A and Commercial Blvd. East and West.

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea has a small area of only 1.5 miles long, and has around 6,300 full-time residents, with about 11,350 inhabitants in total winter. The most beautiful stretch of beach off Atlantic Road A1A is certainly the assets of the city.

There are several types of accommodations available here: apartments, condos, small hotels and holiday homes. Many high-end condos offer great amenities such as security, valet parking, heated pools and private beach access directly from the Atlantic.

The nearest airport is LBTS Ft Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport. LBTS also a local bus service available called Pelican Hopper.

Sea Ranch Shopping Center is the nearest shopping center, which has a Publix in the grocery store, CVS pharmacy, a dinner, a donut shop and a Chinese restaurant. The proximity of the Sea Watch Restaurant offers a direct view of the sea and fabulous seafood. There are many other ethnic restaurants around the local area.

Many recreational activities are available in the surrounding area, including swimming and water sports, or fishing local fishing Anglin Pier at the end of Commercial Blvd. There is no shortage of malls due to the proximity of the beach which has Ft.Lauderdale Place, Las Olas Riverfront and shopping Galleria and Miami Dolphin Mall is great.
