Michigan deposit security laws? I left my flat in March. I was told that the leasing company 30 days to return my deposit. On 26 April, I received a letter noting damage to my apartment, I had to sign on the damage and return them within 7 days. My question is, does the company have 30 days to make repairs and send me my deposit. They are now telling me that I do not see that money until June 1 when repairs are made.
What are the laws of Michigan on this?
