Moving Boxes StoreWhy buy a kitchen or bathroom Remodel a hire Big Store May not be a good idea

Have you ever been in a deposit of Lowes, Home or Costco and asked to see the owner? Of course not, that is ridiculous. It does however shed light on the reasons for the purchase of services in the big box stores often ends in disaster.

Let me say straightaway that I have nothing against big box stores. In fact, I spend thousands of dollars every year. If I need something they carry I picked it home, plug it and use it. If it does not work properly, I return it for a replacement or my money. No problem.

Have you ever tried to return a renovated kitchen or bathroom? Of course not, that's ridiculous too. This is another reason why the big box model does not work well for complicated design / build projects.

Do not misunderstand stores eager to provide high quality services and products out tray. This is not a lack of desire which they fall short.

Why consider buying an owner of a kitchen or bathroom in a store like Home Depot or Lowes?

There are three main reasons:

1) We assume that the price will be better since we benefit from their purchasing power to leverage.

2) We assume they will be about where we have security problems in the future.

3) They provide funding and / or other incentives.

Consider one to one. Firstly, it is true that the big chains buy more volume than most retail stores, they also get some products (eg cabinet) brand manufacturers who are not the same quality as those that the manufacturer provides retailers.

This provides the store box with better margins, but at the expense of the owner who receives a product of slightly lower quality marketed under the same brand.

Second, while most large chains have very good performance and warranty policies, once you add sub-contractors outside subcontractors and sub-contractor to the equation, it becomes extremely difficult solve one of the many questions that may occur during or after a kitchen renovation or bathroom.

Finally, the availability of financing and other incentive token will never compensate for the complications and frustrations often associated with construction projects box store of any size. In addition, most retailers have access to financing from third parties and are ready to throw in a well or other point of concluding a sale.

Let's go through a simplified example of a contract with a shop to have a remodeled kitchen.

The project is then submitted to the Ministry to expedite the equipment to order and select the contractor to give work to. This sub-contractor in most cases.
