Vancouver is the largest city in Western Canada, and the third largest in Canada. Located at the southwest corner of the coastal province of British Columbia. The city really came in 1986 when Vancouver "hosted the world" with the Expo 86 World Fair. The attention of the world's media has been consistently positive, and many believe it is just the most successful in the world to date. Vancouver was awarded the 2010 Olympics, and this event will no doubt cast on the stage of Vancouver new world. This will be the largest city to host the Winter Games and, interestingly, the level of the sea the only city to receive them.

Vancouver is probably best known for its beauty, and the possibilities offered by its natural environment. Vancouver is one of the few places where you can ski in the mountains, windsurf in the ocean, and play a round of golf all in the same day. Surrounded by water on three sides, crowned by the North Shore Mountains, Vancouver is a great destination in itself, as well aa great starting point for exploring the many outdoor activities the area.

Vancouver is a major seaport on the Pacific Ocean, and a base for many cruise ships in Alaska in the summer.
