Moving To Nashville

I've never visited, but I heard great things. I'm from Portland, Oregon and currently living in Denver, CO, I'm looking for a great place to raise my children and I love being near water. So, my friends have referred Nashville, TN. What are your impressions?

I live in Tennessee, about an hour or less in Nashville.

I love Tennessee, but not Nashville. As a musician we always referred to it as Nash Vegas. I would look more toward Knoxville.

Never make that major decision based solely on the recommendations of others. Come visit us, across the training area, talk to lots of local residents, see the property market, and especially check the labor market. Some research you can do online, but only a personal visit to tell you if it's good for you. You can find Tennessee too hot in summer, since you are using Portland and Denver. You can also find a small town is better in Nashville.
