Moving To New Zealand

We're heading to New Zealand in May 2008 and our cats are outside of our family if we do not want to leave behind. We Googled much as possible on the move, but everything is soo confusing and we have no idea where to start. We are what we will need documents, while vacinations, that will cost or who best to contact about this. Any help would be appreciated.
