Notice Of Termination By Landlord If I give a 30 day notice that supersede any notice to terminate lease granted by the landlord? I have been going with my rent. My lease states that the movement in the room, I pay a security deposit of $ 500 and $ 500 for rent. The owner and I had a verbal agreement on payments for deposit. I paid $ 150 and only lived there for 45 days. The owner is a drunk husband and I had a verbal dispute with him. They then proceeded to give me notice that I had 3 days to either pay the remainder of my security deposit or I will be served with a notice of termination of my residence due to a "breach of contract." The Next day I gave my notice of 30 days. Do I still need to pay the final payment of $ 350? I want to be sure I'll get all the support and I do not trust these people. It told me that since I nor the owner of the lease followed the securty deposit has been submitted to interpertation by a judge, and $ 150 wouldnt be worth fighting over and that I should not pay any additional amount. Can they give me an eviction notice after I've already served a notice of 30 days? Am I still entitled to my $ 150 back if I leave the Premises as I found? If you have any references on this, please help. I agree with Infinite .. but make sure you take pictures of the room with a date and time on this the day you move. In this way, they can not say that you have destroyed the hall to the exit. Do not give them more of the bond. Posted on August 30, 2010.
