Please I need a job in Brisbane? I am overseas, but I speak intermediate level in English. I have had work experience in the administration of field offices / secretary for four years in my country. Now, I include four years of work visa.
I spent many applications for jobs that might qualify, but I always get the answer unsuccessful. And I also sent my CV to the agency to find a job for me. Howvever, I got nothing. I wonder if it's because I'm abroad and I do not speak English well or I have no experience working in Australia.
I did not even get a job housekeeping. I would like to join the industry in Brisbane CBD social. No matter how hard the work is and how much money I get paid, I would love to do. I want a bit of work that can make me practice English. Especially working with the Australian authorities.
Yet I also worry about bills rental house.
Please can someone advise me? Thank you in advance.

wow im down this way and IM in the same boat as u but I can speak english its my mother tongue I would try craigslist.com and also look at the San Francisco and they pay better and they have many jobs who need people who speak languages other good luck!
I suggest you try working for an interpreter service.
If you have intermediate skills in English and you speak another language, you should approach somewhere like Centrelink and ask them how to become an interpreter.
Unfortunately, I do not want to hire someone who does not speak perfect English in an administration role that relationships with clients is an essential task.
Maybe you could take some night classes to broaden your skills in English.
In addition, if you join a local group - perhaps a walking group or a kind of social group, I'm sure you'll make friends in Australia who will be able to help you practice your English skills.
Good luck.
