Pack N Move

Pack N MoveDid you move your baby from a Pack N Play in a manger?

My baby 3 months old now sleeps in a room n pack but it will soon grow (15 pound limit for the bassinet) and I'll have to transfer in his bed. Her crib is in another room (Exhibit pack is in my room).

For those of you who have done the same, your baby has no trouble adjusting to his new bed? Have you tried the step gradually putting / Her Down for a nap shortly before permanently making the switch?

I was wondering what is the best way is to make a smooth transition for my baby. Thank you!

Yes I did too ... my daughter is now 9 1 / 2 months and just cannot sleep anywhere but her bed, she loves it! She has stayed with me / in the Pack n Play til she was about 3 months too ... but it is only 16 pounds 8 ounces at this time ... lol everyone tells me how she is small. I have done more to it then it would be easier in the long term. I am still breastfeeding and it has never been a problem. Although I think I started to carry the PAN there before I put for the night. Good luck and enjoy your own space!

I had my son in a crib in our room until 1 month. I have spent in his crib one night and it didn't seem to notice change. He still got up in the night but not more than he had before and right back to sleep as he had done before. give it a shot, if it does not work you can always bring it back in and try it a little differently the next night.

When my girl was 2 weeks I pack'n'play offers him her bed that was in his room. I have a Fisher Price Rainforest Mobile, she loved to watch, so it was very easy to change from room to room. She slept better in his room. We just put it in his room for bed, she always took naps in his swing, except for now (shes 6 months), she made a 3 hr nap in her crib.

We have done the same thing when my daughter was about three weeks. We just put it in his bed at night and she had no problems at all. We also put the radio softly, because she was so used to sleeping in his Dad's snoring lol.

I did the same thing with my son (now 2) and fine adjusted, in fact, he slept in his crib faster than he ever has in Exhibit Pack. It is not my habit to gradually bring it either.

I started mine with naps in their beds, then 2-3 months to put them in bed for the night, too. They were on a schedule by then and slept right through the night.

I moved my DD to the nursery to three weeks, havent looked back sense. But I left her when she tries to nap during the day but at night it goes in the crib. shes about 4 months now and she goes to sleep around so I think it depends on your baby

We started with our baby's bed in Exhibit Pack. We put him in his cradle from 2 months. At that time, we also decided to start his bedtime routine, which he loves! It is very soothing to him, and he helped make the immediate connection between this and the hour of sleep in the bed. We give him a bath, massage, bottle, and read (it is never too early to start!) And put him in his crib when he is awake. This is important for her to learn to sleep without accessories. He never had any problems. He always woke up at 3:00 for a bottle, but it lasted one month and three months, he slept all night in his crib. It is now five months old and doing well. Good luck!

If you do not want to take your baby yet, you can always try to put it on the basis of the pack-n-play. I have a friend who did it with all her children. ~ I finished moving our little gal's bed (from a bassinet into our room, where she outgrew) about 3 months. My husband and I slept on the floor in his bedroom for two nights and the third, she was beautiful. I think three months is a good age for transit.
