San Diego, like any town, the tourist type has its share of bargains at unbeatable prices. The bargains, however, usually found in the series of activities, transportation or other tourist attraction. Another way to save is by booking a longer stay. San Diego is a wonderful place to base the rest of your vacation. Disneyland is just hours away, as is Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm amusement park and many other attractions.

Remember to always ask for discounts when booking. Remember the need for hotel occupancy. Sometimes hotels

offer a discount, especially if you have a near-by competitors offering rates in the hand. One call to several hotels in an area will provide ammunition to get the best deal on the booking office. While many 4 and 5 stars will have higher rates, remember to seek discount packages and stay a little longer. After all, it is your vacation!
