Hello. I am a professional photographer in New York. Perhaps more importantly, my daughter got married a year and a half she and I "shopped 'for her entire wedding photographer, so I'm a" Bride's Eye View' of what is important.
There are at least three major differences between the packages that you are considering.
Number of hours. The smallest package specifies five hours of coverage. The second sounds like it is unlimited, from the moment that you are going until you cut the cake at the reception. This could be 8, 10 or even 12 hours. Then, choose the package that corresponds to your wedding day schedule. If you hire a photographer for 5 hours and keep for 12 hours, you can end up with huge additional costs.
Number of photographers. Two photographers means not only more pictures, this means better pictures. The two photographers can be taken at the same time, but with different objectives and different places. That means you'll have lots of photos of special moments - walking down the aisle with your father and your husband to come see you and your mother wiping a tear as she reacts to this beautiful scene! A photographer, no matter how good he or she would have to choose which of these images to capture. Two photographers can get all.
Album. You may have rights to print from a CD, but a professionally designed, printed, and the album will be held a treasure that will grow in value over the years. Unless you are a qualified professional graphic editor with excellent design skills, you probably will not be able to approach the quality album that can provide a professional. Many brides who give the album wound up years later with just a shoe box full of drugstore prints 4x6 unretouched show people one of the most important days of his life. It's sad.
In addition to these three major differences, there are many "extras" with the updated package, such as the DVD set to music. This is a great way to enjoy and share your wedding photos.
When my daughter and I chose a set of wedding photography, we went for the option that is close to $ 2.800 package you are considering. Yes, it was a little difficult to spend the extra. But we are very pleased that we have invested additional funds.
If you can afford it, opt for quality.
Sincerely,
George Delgado
