Poipu Has anyone ever been to Poipu during the week of Christmas? We will spend two weeks in Hawaii this winter. The first week Hawaiian Village in Honolulu and one on Kauai, Poipu location, a station Sunterra. I was at a time, but never Christmas. Has anyone ever been there at Christmas? What can I expect from our vacation to see? Will there be things to do because it's a great party? It is crowded. There are many people visiting at Christmas out of their winter season. Many return home residents away from the island of college or be with family as well. I've never been to Poipu for Christmas, but I expect it is the same as any other hotel at Christmas. There will most likely be a special dinner menu on that day and the day to day operations will be the same as any other day (from hotel staff do not get holidays). Your best bet would be to check the hotel website as it gets closer to the day you go. They may have something posted in events scheduled at this time. My family went to Kauai and Poipu remained near the previous week and the week of Christmas. It is similar to vacation there when this is not a holiday. However, we found that because of the winter season we have not been swimming in the beaches of the North Island. We went to a luau Christmas, but I do not remember the name of the place is gone. Enjoy your holiday! I've been to Poipu but never Christmas. I guess it would be very nice. It would certainly be difficult to spend Christmas away from friends and family. I would suggest you visit a local church for a service in Hawaii on Christmas Eve. I heard they are very neat. According stations Sunterra is one of the most sought after visiting hours. I hope you have fun and Mele Kalikimaka. Posted on July 19, 2010.
