My boyfriend and I rent a property management service and liaised last July to replace the couch that was supplied with property with newer and better than they have been disgusting. After recent problems with them that I have read in our contract to see that changes must be agreed in writing, when I asked them in writing they refused. They said they have notes on "our behalf" and when I supported him to say that I have no notes so I can not prove they kept saying "nothing will be put in writing. Does anyone know where I stand on this issue or that I can make a formal complaint too much because its quite unacceptable, I do not trust them because they try to cheat us for every penny our warehouse.

Changes to the contract must be mutual. You can not demand they change the contract if they refuse.

Unless it is written down in the contract that you have no recourse on this matter. You agreed to rent the property and your application for different furniture can not be legally enforced. Be aware of this situation for the next time you rent. Without evidence, at first, it's your word against theirs.

If it does not say anywhere in your contract new sofa will be provided on request, there is no breach of contract. I do not know where you get the idea that you can get different furniture simply by asking and / or demanding.

sounds like you need to go to the authorities about them, and everything in writing prior to your departure. and ask for your deposit and move some elsewhere.
