Lease with missing signature? My mother was on a residential lease with my husband and me when the lease expires May 8, we all have an extra month, then my mother left after one-month extension, the owner was aware . My husband and I signed a new extension of six months, the extension had all our names for some reason (with the name of my mother typed as "the original signed lease). My husband and I signed, it did not, because she no longer lived with us. The lease contract is incomplete because the space where it was registered to sign was blank?
Not necessarily! Having her there, (because it was the original lease owner) is a way to keep his credit as security for the residence. Just because she has moved, is not always free from liability for good. You can search for the LL / tenant laws of your state to be sure. Good luck!
No, it simply means that your mom has not signed the lease and is not bound by the terms of the same. However, you and your husband are related to the lease. These clerical errors or omissions do not invalidate a contract.
The extension of the lease contract is mandatory for the two of you only. It is not null and void the lease just because your mother did sign as a signatory of the initial lease,
No, it just means mom is not party to the lease.
No, it is valid and enforceable against you and your husband and LL. This is a contract duly signed and binding on the parties who signed and does not bind those who have not signed, just like Mom.
