Timeshare Hotels

My wife and I have thought about buying a timeshare and I know you can get deals on rooms for a week if you visit one of the hotels that will sell. I was wondering if anyone else has traveled like that and can relate their experience with the visit necessary. I know that in the past, many people were affected by the sale of "hard".
