Truck Rental Manhattan

Truck Rental ManhattanHow people move furniture NYC without a car?

For example, when we move to Manhattan this summer, you may want to purchase items of furniture craigslist - but we also intend to abandon our cars when we travel. Will we have to rent a U-Haul truck just to get that will mostly likely a better point that the rental truck?

I'll go a bit off topic.

Abandon your car - but do not give up your license.

Before it expires without the written NYS.

You can later decide to rent a car ... or you might decide to move to New York. If so, everything you need to do is pass the written test of your new state, and not the driving test.

I lived in New York for years, held my driver's license, renewal preserved. Did not have a car.

When I moved to New Jersey before it expired I did the written test only. Depending on where you live in New Jersey, it is almost mandatory to drive. Naturally, not in New York.

Just something to consider. Whatever you decide - good luck in your new home.

If you're on Craigslist and after choosing your furniture, stay and go directly to the labor market "and moving" section. You can also try a search for "Man with Van," and you will find many people who do it for a reasonable price. Much less expensive is to rent a truck or using a regular moving company.

Moreover, for small objects that you can call a car service regular type you normally use just to move people. You can request a pickup or SUV with most of these cases required.

And one more option, rent cars. In addition to traditional rental companies, Zipcar rents by the day or the hour and cars of different sizes, including small SUVs available around the city. Please register and become a member of a first but once you do you just reserve a car by phone or Internet and fetch it from a lot or garage near you:

You can hire a moving company - if you rent a UHAUL, you'll need a car to pick up the UHAUL ANSD to go to the new location, I would say the sale of a vehicle and keeping the other, if you can afford (have heard that some parts of NY is very difficult to find parking and people are going to rent a garage space per month)

Well you can

1. Hire a car and trailer UHAUL
2. Rent a truck or van
3. Use a variety of moving services, which means they carry your furniture down the stairs for you.
4. Use a delivery company, who will say a couch or table.

If you still have your license, you can rent a truck or van rental from U-Haul. Now you do not need a large truck to move furniture, just a truckload of small or medium size will do. Believe it will work.

Good luck
