Trusted Van Lines

Please give me more details about your experience with United Van Lines. I try to help an old friend (79) to me that the move to a nursing home in DC She is financially comfortable and has a lot of valuables. But she is widowed and has no close relatives nearby. I am a music teacher for the past four years. It is far too trusting when it comes to name brand "companies and I can already see some cracks in what the United Van Lines agent told him.

Well, Hi again ... United Van Lines is the company chosen by my husbands work. That's how we got involved with them. I think if you have the right people with the United Van Lines could be a movement permitted. We moved with them for years before and had no problems. United Van Lines hired laborers and subcontractors (such as the group McCollister). These people are mainly SE Washington (Bad bad neighborhood, sorry, I'm very prejudiced now) and most of them are uneducated and inexperienced in the package. We have a crew of 3 persons

b) they all could not write (yes, how to write on the box, or fill out forms?)
c) their attitude was very bad
s) they made us feel violated in our own home, especially if all family members of gangsters (15 !!!!) men appeared and started going in our business and make boxes and just passed in our house .... We felt so helpless!
That was all just a few months ago, but I still wake up at night when very angry at this.
And so many things broken ... incredible. Yes, United Van Lines replaces all things, but there are so many things that meant a lot to me and they are irreplaceable ...
I could go on and on ...

If you go to a business interview them, make sure they have a great experience for people and a background check and I suggest your friend should have someone with her during moving day. It is a stressful day when someone pack your things and you feel like you need to be around to watch what they do ...
Definitely ask for United Van Lines does not use subcontractors or day laborers. Good luck!

PS: If I ever had to move again, I pack! I learned a great lesson ...
