Is it safe to leave the station and explore San Lucas? What night? Can you make calls from your room in San Lucas for free? I'll be there, June 30th - July 8th. Will be something happening there, July 4?

Dan Hola. Not too sure on the cost of food and drinks at the Baja Coral --- its been a while. I think it may be a bit expensive, so you can consider going to restaurants and bars outside the resort. You can go really cheap and eat taco stands for only a few dollars. Thats what I do. Delicious. Buy your own bottles of alcohol to reduce costs as well.

Regarding security, CSL is extremely safe. I know there was a lot of stories about drug wars / understanding and political instability, but it does not affect us here in Cabo. That said, people should exercise some cautions when Mexico, as never walk alone at night, or accepting free drinks / food from strangers, or flashing large amounts of money or jewelry around. Things like that.

landlines are extremely expensive to Cabo, and it costs a little to make local or international calls. Almost everyone here has a cell phone. Your only option is cheap to buy a phone card and make calls. Cheaper than paying hotel rates.
